The shift runs Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM, and Fridays from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with a 10% shift premium included.

As part of Tesla’s Manufacturing team in Markham, you’ll be integral to building and assembling control panels and wiring field devices for cutting-edge automated systems. Responsibilities

This role covers a broad range of electrical work in an advanced manufacturing setting. From precision panel building to global commissioning support, every task requires technical accuracy and a strong sense of professionalism. Here’s what you can expect to be doing on a regular basis:

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, panel building drawings, and device layout documentation to execute accurate builds
• Perform point-to-point wiring for custom machinery panels with a high degree of precision and attention to detail
• Wire and connect field control devices for automated systems, including motors, transformers, sensors, and servo drives
• Conduct testing and debugging of electrical systems, including commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting of PLC-based systems
• Install and troubleshoot machinery both on-site in Markham and at customer sites around the world
• Maintain 5S standards, ensuring the shop floor and automation cells are clean, organized, and safe at all times
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the team lead or manager

Requirements / Skills

Tesla is looking for a well-rounded industrial electrician who combines strong technical credentials with solid communication and teamwork abilities. The ideal candidate brings real-world experience with automated machinery, a valid electrician’s licence, and the flexibility to travel internationally for equipment support.

• Diploma or electrical certification with 4+ years of experience in electrical assembly for automated machinery; a 442A or 309A Electrician’s Licence or equivalent is required
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical standards, including PLCs, sensors, motor drives, servomotors, and pneumatic controls
• Skilled at reading electrical engineering drawings and wiring components accurately based on technical documentation
• Proficient with hand tools and electrical measuring instruments; candidates must supply their own personal tool set
• Ability to safely operate machine shop equipment and work with high-voltage systems up to 600V
• Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 30–60% for equipment installation and commissioning; a valid passport is required
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) and a team-oriented attitude
