Requirements / Skills

Post-secondary education: Community College Diploma (or equivalent)

Professional designation: Canadian Customs Specialist (CCS) or CSCB qualified professional designation

Experience: 2 years current customs brokerage experience OR 2 years current rating and international experience (or equivalent)

Must maintain CCS designation and achieve annual recurrency points

Strong knowledge of international customs documentation and regulations

In-depth knowledge of customs, agriculture, food and drug, tariff, valuation laws and other OGD policies

Demonstrated knowledge of agency clearance requirements and release processes

Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail

Excel (basic); data entry speed 25 wpm (alpha numeric testing preferred)

Physical requirement: ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment (as applicable for certain ports)
