About the Role: General Merchandise Associate
As a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Scarborough Village, your primary focus will be delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the general merchandise section of the store. You’ll be responsible for zoning assigned areas, moving feature merchandise to its proper location, and working recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk throughout your shift.
Beyond the salesfloor, you’ll also contribute to a safe and hazard-free work environment by following company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring that displays and fixtures are properly secured. Being a dependable team player who communicates well with colleagues is key to keeping the floor running smoothly at all times.
Benefits and Salary
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.75 per hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities
Day to day, a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart keeps the store looking its best while ensuring every customer feels welcomed and supported. - Assist with Front End coverage as needed to support overall store operations
- Communicate with fellow associates to ensure consistent floor coverage is maintained throughout all shifts
- Uphold a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring fixtures and displays are secure
