As a General Merchandise Associate with Walmart Canada in Mississauga, ON, you’ll deliver friendly, reliable customer service while keeping the general merchandise salesfloor organized, stocked, and ready for customers. This hands-on retail role focuses on zoning, merchandising, and supporting smooth day-to-day store operations in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll help customers locate products, maintain assigned areas, move feature items to their modular locations, and assist with front-end coverage when needed—while following Walmart safety standards and operational procedures.

About the role: General Merchandise Associate

In this position, you’ll cover assigned salesfloor areas, maintain strong presentation through zoning and recovery, and support stocking and modular work (including flex modulars and new shelf caps). You’ll work closely with teammates to ensure floor coverage is maintained throughout the day.

You’ll also contribute to a safe, clean, hazard-free environment by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.

Benefits and Salary

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting with product selection
• Cover assigned salesfloor area(s) and maintain floor coverage with the team
• Zone assigned areas to keep shelves and displays organized
• Move feature merchandise to its correct modular home
• Work recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other store areas
• Assist with Front End coverage when required
• Communicate with other associates to ensure consistent floor coverage
• Support a safe, clean, hazard-free environment (including safety sweep logs)
• Stock merchandise and picks, downstock when applicable, and apply product protection
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps
