About the Role: General Manager III – Distribution

At the heart of this position is the end-to-end management of a distribution facility — from receiving and storage through to shipping — while driving continuous improvement in processes, costs, and productivity. You’ll be leveraging Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation technologies to monitor performance and identify opportunities for greater efficiency. Managing the site’s Profit & Loss (P&L) is a core accountability, meaning your decisions will have a direct impact on the financial health of the operation and the strength of customer partnerships.

Beyond operational oversight, this role demands strong people leadership. You’ll be responsible for building a positive team culture, coaching your management team, and maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. Collaboration with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders is central to success in this position, as is your ability to present Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) with professionalism and analytical clarity.

Benefits and Salary

DHL Supply Chain offers a national salary range of $82,000 – $121,000 for this role, with bonus potential on top of base compensation. Responsibilities

In this senior leadership role, you’ll be steering every aspect of a busy distribution facility. Day to day, that means balancing operational priorities, strategic planning, team development, and customer partnership — all at once. The breadth of this role is what makes it both demanding and genuinely rewarding for the right candidate.

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff through coaching, guidance, and support while building a strong team culture
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment
• Leverage WMS, automation, and other technologies to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify improvement opportunities
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective services and supplies aligned with the commercial agreement
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and key metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement
• Lead customer relationships through close daily contact to drive satisfaction and maintain strong business connections
• Own the site’s P&L, with direct responsibility for financial outcomes tied to operational and customer relationship management
• Present MBR/QBR reviews to customers in collaboration with your team, showcasing performance and driving forward-looking strategies

Requirements / Skills

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a proven leader who brings both operational depth and strong business acumen to this role. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing at scale, communicating across levels, and making data-informed decisions in a fast-paced logistics environment. A background in Third Party Logistics (3PL) or contract logistics would be a significant asset.

• 5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience — required; proven ability to lead and develop teams in a complex operational setting
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing, or distribution — required; hands-on familiarity with the realities of logistics operations
• Experience in 3PL and/or Contract Logistics — preferred; understanding of how third-party relationships shape operational priorities
• Staff management capabilities — required; demonstrated success in hiring, coaching, and retaining talent
• P&L management experience — preferred; comfort with financial reporting, cost control, and driving profitability
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience — preferred; ability to use technology to enhance operational visibility and performance
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent — preferred; a strong record of professional achievement is valued alongside formal education
