Fulfillment Area Manager Intern 2026 – Amazon – Canada (Multiple Locations)
Location: Hamilton, ON | Company: Amazon
Amazon is seeking customer-focused individuals who are eager to develop a collaborative leadership style with a team of hourly employees across its Operations network. These warehouses are fast-paced supply chain environments where standing, walking, and having on-the-production floor conversations are part of the day.
As a Fulfillment Area Manager Intern, you’ll learn how to coach, motivate, and mentor Amazon associates in a warehouse setting, while building toward becoming an exceptional people leader through training and development. Your focus includes learning to manage a team and delivering a summer project in partnership with site leadership during a 10-week internship in Summer 2026.
About the role: Fulfillment Area Manager Intern 2026
This is not a corporate, remote, or office-based position. You’ll complete a ten-week internship (40 hours/week) at one of Amazon’s fulfillment centres, sort centres, delivery stations, or other operations buildings across Canada. You’ll learn to coach, manage, and develop a team of 50–100 Amazon Associates while operating in an autonomous, high-ownership environment.
Key responsibilities include driving standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project, supporting on-floor operations, and stepping in as needed to help oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, and operate PIT equipment (at applicable sites). Expect work that involves 12-hour shifts, variable noise levels, and physical activity such as lifting up to 49 lbs, frequent bending/reaching, and climbing stairs when applicable, with shift patterns that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Benefits and Salary
This internship includes access to Amazon’s Medical Advice Line, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and financial benefits. Site placement is matched after your interview by aligning your location preferences with available sites, and summer relocation and housing assistance may be provided if eligible. Please note: Amazon cannot provide sponsorship now or in the future for these positions—candidates must have work authorization without employer intervention.

Job Summary & Tips for Applying
To strengthen your application for the Fulfillment Area Manager Intern 2026 role, make sure your resume clearly shows leadership potential and a strong customer-focused mindset. Highlight situations where you coached teammates, dealt with fast-changing priorities, or helped a group stay aligned on goals—these translate well to learning how to coach, motivate, and mentor a team in an operations setting.
Because this is an on-the-floor role in a warehouse environment, it helps to emphasize your comfort with a physical, fast-paced workplace: standing/walking for long shifts, working around varying noise levels, and safely handling tasks that involve lifting up to 49 lbs and frequent bending/reaching. If you’ve worked in logistics, retail operations, warehouses, or busy team environments, connect that experience to standard work, reliability, and delivering results under pressure.
Finally, be ready to demonstrate how you’ll approach the intern project with a continuous improvement mindset. In your application, call out any experience with process improvement, metrics, teamwork, or structured problem-solving, and show that you can work independently in an autonomous environment. Double-check that your graduation timeline matches December 2026 to August 2027 and that you meet the requirement for work authorization without sponsorship, since this is a key eligibility factor.
