About the Role: Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator at DHL Supply Chain in Mississauga, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods across the warehouse floor. You’ll operate a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered equipment for the majority of your shift — loading, unloading, stocking, and staging products while keeping accurate inventory records. Attention to detail is key, as you’ll also be verifying load accuracy, checking for product damage, and ensuring all items meet customer requirements.

Working on the Weekend Night Shift, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that keeps DHL’s supply chain moving around the clock. Compliance with OSHA and MSDS safety standards is a core part of the job, and you’ll be expected to maintain equipment and your work area in excellent condition throughout every shift.

Benefits and Salary

This full-time position pays $23.50 per hour, with an additional $1.25/hour weekend nights premium on top of that. Responsibilities

As a Forklift Operator at DHL, you’ll be at the centre of daily warehouse operations — safely moving and managing product using powered equipment for up to 80% of your shift. Accuracy, safety awareness, and physical readiness are all essential to performing this role well.

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment to load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, verifying that the correct number and types of product are loaded accurately
• Maintain records and reports to support inventory accuracy throughout the facility
• Verify load accuracy by checking load count, stability, and product condition, and reporting any variances
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards to ensure a safe working environment
• Monitor and change equipment batteries or LP tanks as needed throughout the shift
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly condition
• Complete daily inspections of equipment and assist with physical inventory counts as required

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for a candidate with hands-on forklift operating experience and a solid understanding of warehouse safety standards. If you’ve worked in a logistics or distribution environment and have experience with specialized equipment like a VNA forklift or Reach Truck, this role is a strong fit.

• Forklift operator certificate or ability to complete a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment
• Minimum 6 months of forklift operation experience, required
• Minimum 6 months of VNA forklift or Reach Truck experience, preferred for this specific role
• Six months of warehouse experience, preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Ability to work the Weekend Night Shift schedule as outlined (Thursday through Sunday nights)
