About the Role: Dispatch Specialist
As a Dispatch Specialist, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for both walk-in and telephone customers, taking ownership of their shipping needs and delivering practical, reliable solutions. Responsibilities
The Dispatch Specialist role covers a broad range of daily tasks focused on customer service, logistics coordination, and operational support. - Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and via telephone inquiries, ensuring every interaction is handled professionally
- Take ownership of customers’ shipping needs and offer viable, practical solutions tailored to their situation
- Coordinate carrier selection and assist in planning the handling of exceptions and service recovery events such as late loads
- Stay informed on all UPS product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and current industry trends
- Operate equipment, software, and devices efficiently, and train other team members as needed
