Walmart Canada’s Thunder Bay location on Memorial Avenue is looking for a Directs Store Delivery Associate to join their team. About the Role: Directs Store Delivery Associate
As a DSD Associate at Walmart Canada, your primary focus is coordinating and processing direct and local merchandise deliveries — including OMNI merchandise, alcohol receiving, and warehouse trailers. You’ll manage the receiving area, process returns and claims, and ensure all high-ticket items are properly secured. This is a role where attention to detail and consistency really matter.
You’ll also be responsible for training other DSD Associates on receiving procedures, promoting workplace safety around equipment like pallet jacks, ladders, and box blades, and maintaining cold chain compliance using tools like the Receiving Temperature Log and Sure Check App. Working alongside the Operations Manager and Office Support team, you’ll help resolve discrepancies and keep operations flowing smoothly.
Benefits and Salary
The minimum rate of pay starts at $18.55 per hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities
The day-to-day work of a Directs Store Delivery Associate involves managing the flow of incoming merchandise from the receiving dock to the salesfloor. These responsibilities keep the store stocked, safe, and compliant with Walmart Canada’s operational standards.
- Secure high-ticket merchandise in designated locations to prevent loss or damage

- Maintain a clean receiving area by preparing returns, claims, and MTRs with all required documentation for prompt shipment

- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Office Support Associate to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Safeguard backdoor and key controls in compliance with Walmart Canada guidelines
- Maintain cold chain compliance by documenting required information on the Receiving Temperature Log and Sure Check App
