About the Role: Directs Store Delivery Associate

The Directs Store Delivery Associate is responsible for coordinating and processing direct and local shipments — including OMNI merchandise, alcohol, and warehouse trailer receiving — to keep Walmart’s salesfloor fully stocked. You’ll manage the receiving area, handle high-ticket merchandise security, and ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are met with accuracy and care.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and Office Support Associate, you’ll help resolve discrepancies, maintain a clean and organized receiving area, and train fellow DSD Associates on proper receiving processes. Safety compliance is a priority — from proper lifting techniques to cold chain documentation using the Sure Check App.

Responsibilities

As a Directs Store Delivery Associate at Walmart Port Alberni, your day-to-day work centres on keeping the receiving area operating efficiently and safely. From processing incoming shipments to training teammates and maintaining compliance records, your contributions are essential to the store’s smooth daily operations.

• Secure high-ticket merchandise by ensuring it is properly stored in designated, protected locations
• Process direct and local shipments promptly, including OMNI merchandise, alcohol, and receiving of warehouse trailers
• Train fellow DSD Associates on all receiving area processes and best practices
• Maintain a clean receiving area by preparing returns, claims, and MTRs for prompt shipment with all required documentation
• Follow and promote safety rules for lifting procedures, box blades, pallet jacks, ladders, and other equipment
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Office Support Associate to identify and correct problems or discrepancies
• Safeguard backdoor and key controls to ensure compliance with Company guidelines and security protocols
• Maintain cold chain compliance by documenting all required information on the Receiving Temperature Log and Sure Check App
