About the Role: Dangerous Goods Agent
As a Dangerous Goods Agent at FedEx’s Mississauga facility, you will be responsible for the proper acceptance, storage, handling, and loading of dangerous goods, as well as ensuring the accuracy and retention of all required documentation under Canadian legislation and FedEx policy. This is a critical compliance and safety role that directly supports the integrity of FedEx’s operations.
Beyond the hands-on handling responsibilities, you’ll also serve as an internal resource — responding to questions from staff and customers about dangerous goods procedures, managing spill response situations, and delivering awareness training to other team members. Responsibilities
Working as a Dangerous Goods Agent at FedEx means you’re at the heart of keeping shipments compliant and safe. - Ensure proper acceptance of dangerous goods shipments in accordance with legislation and FedEx policy

- Review and retain documentation related to dangerous goods shipments for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Respond to spills of dangerous goods, following established protocols to protect staff and the facility

- Deliver awareness training to other team members to maintain a knowledgeable and safety-conscious workforce
- Maintain certifications by completing all basic and recurrency dangerous goods training as required
Requirements / Skills
FedEx is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual who takes safety seriously and can communicate clearly in a team environment. Candidates with prior FedEx experience and a background in logistics or regulated goods handling will have a strong advantage in this competition.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required as a minimum educational credential
- Six months of FedEx experience is preferred, giving you a foundation in company processes and systems
- Typing speed of at least 25 wpm to support documentation and data entry tasks
- Dangerous goods certifications — must be able to complete and maintain all required credentials
- Knowledge of dangerous goods handling, including labelling and documentation requirements
- Physical capability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record (no more than 2 violations or accidents in the past 24 months)
- Strong communication and human relations skills for working with staff and customers effectively
