About the Role: Customs Brokerage Representative I

In this role, you will process customs releases, confirm declarations for shipments, and manage delivery service and import permit requests. You will collaborate with internal and external clients, including import operations, consulting services, and government agencies, to ensure smooth and accurate customs processes. The work schedule is Wednesday to Sunday, from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities of a Customs Brokerage Representative I

  • Process customs releases and confirm declarations for shipments using the CCBS system.
  • Handle delivery service and import permit requests as needed.
  • Gather and send appropriate documentation to government agencies.
  • Manage customer profiles, validate data, and ensure accuracy in credit and invoicing.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients, addressing standard inquiries promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with UPS SCS employees, carriers, and inbound agents to ensure efficient operations.
  • Identify discrepancies in customer profiles and resolve them effectively.

Qualifications for the Customs Brokerage Role

  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingualism (required in Quebec) at an intermediate level.
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with the HS system.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.
