Courier Team Lead – FedEx – Edmonton, AB

FedEx Canada is hiring a motivated and experienced Courier Team Lead in Edmonton, Alberta. This hands-on leadership position supports management by overseeing daily courier operations, including sort, delivery, and pickup activities. About the role: Courier Team Lead

The Courier Team Lead assists management in supervising daily sort, delivery, and pickup operations within the Edmonton station. You’ll act as a mentor for hourly employees, fostering strong communication, motivation, and teamwork through Best Practices leadership methods. This role also involves delegating tasks, resolving conflicts, and promoting operational excellence across assigned routes and feeder operations.

In addition to overseeing day-to-day logistics, you’ll ensure compliance with safety regulations, training certifications, and company procedures. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, dependable, and skilled in managing people and time-sensitive deliveries.

Requirements / Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of current courier experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver up to 150 lbs with equipment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Personal Development Stream preferred)
• Ability to complete DG Specialist certification and other FedEx recurrency training
• Knowledge of FedEx operations, features of service, and Canadian Customs regulations (an asset)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and train employees
• Team-oriented and able to prioritize in time-sensitive environments
