Courier (Driver) – FedEx – Ottawa, ON

Federal Express Corporation Canada (FedEx) is hiring a Part-Time Courier (Driver) at 2400 Sheffield Road, Ottawa, ON K1B 5P6. This is an interview position focused on courteous, efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route, including verifying shipments meet FedEx Canada’s features of service and performing related customer service functions.

Successful candidates bring excellent customer service, time management, and safe driving habits. You’ll handle packages up to 70 lbs (and manoeuvre up to 150 lbs with equipment), maintain a professional image, and support operations with strong communication and organisational skills. Bilingualism (English/French) is required for this role.

About the role: Courier (Driver)

As a Courier, you will provide on-time delivery and pick-up on a defined route, confirm shipment compliance with FedEx service standards, and keep customers informed. You will multitask under pressure, follow operating procedures, and support security of packages, equipment, and vehicles while representing FedEx in a professional manner.

The role requires passing the pre-placement driver assessment, flexibility to work varied schedules and holidays based on business needs, and the ability to adhere to company policies and Canadian Customs considerations where applicable.

Requirements / Skills

• High school diploma or educational equivalent
• Valid driver’s licence and good driving record

• Customer-oriented experience (1 year preferred)
• Meet minimum threshold on pre-placement driver assessment training
• Some knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs is an asset
• Interpersonal, communication, time management, and organisational skills
• Ability to multitask, handle stress, and work in a high-pressure environment
