Responsibilities
Every day as a FedEx Courier is different, but the core of your work revolves around reliable package delivery and outstanding customer service. You’ll be representing the FedEx brand on the road and at doorsteps across your route, making accuracy and professionalism essential to the job.
- Pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route in a courteous and efficient manner
- Verify shipments to ensure all packages conform to Federal Express Canada’s features of service
- Handle packages safely including lifting up to 70 lbs and manoeuvring shipments up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
- Provide customer service functions in the field, addressing client needs professionally at each stop
- Comply with Canadian Customs regulations and internal FedEx Canada operational procedures
- Manage your time and schedule effectively to complete all route stops within expected timeframes
- Adapt to varying shifts and holiday schedules based on business requirements
Requirements / Skills
FedEx is looking for a motivated and physically capable individual who can represent the company professionally on the road. The ideal candidate brings solid customer service experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to stay composed under pressure in a high-volume logistics environment.
- High school diploma or educational equivalent is required
- Valid driver’s licence with a strong driving record (no more than two violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
- Physical fitness — ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- One (1) year of customer-oriented business experience preferred
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for candidates residing in Québec
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with customers and team members
