About the Role: Consumables Associate

Responsibilities
Day to day, the Consumables Associate keeps the department running efficiently by managing both the customer-facing and behind-the-scenes aspects of retail. From stocking shelves to helping shoppers make decisions, every task ties back to delivering a better in-store experience.
- Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner to set a positive tone from the moment they enter
- Assist customers by promoting products and services, locating merchandise, and helping them make purchase decisions
- Resolve customer issues on the floor and escalate concerns to management when appropriate
- Maintain salesfloor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, and setting up product displays
- Sign and price merchandise accurately to ensure compliance with company standards
- Receive and process incoming stock, using equipment properly and completing required documentation
- Handle claims and returns correctly, secure merchandise, and identify high-shrink items
- Set and complete modulars including flex modulars, new shelf caps, and downstocking as applicable
- Apply product protection where required and maintain a safe, clean work environment
