About the Role: Cashier

At its core, this position is about making every customer’s checkout experience smooth and positive. Beyond the till, you’ll also act as a total loss champion, helping protect company assets through diligent cash handling and a keen eye for detail. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, following proper lifting practices, and escalating complex service matters to a Customer Service Manager are all part of keeping things running smoothly on the floor.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum starting wage for this Cashier position is $18.00 per hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for keeping the checkout process flowing efficiently while upholding Walmart’s high standards for customer service, security, and store safety. • Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner every time they approach the register
• Process purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivating merchandise through the EAS Program
• Promote company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charity initiatives
• Assist customers with bagging and loading their merchandise at checkout
• Follow safe work practices including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a clean, organized work area
• Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling and strict adherence to company policies
• Refer service and transactional matters to a Customer Service Manager as appropriate
