Job Summary & Tips for Applying
To boost your chances for this Cashier Assistant role, emphasize speed and accuracy with member orders. In your resume, describe situations where you packed items quickly, kept lines moving, and followed clear procedures—especially in busy retail, grocery, or warehouse front-end settings.
Costco highlights safety and security, so mention habits like cleaning spills right away, removing trip hazards, and keeping the register and front-end area tidy. If you’ve handled carts, flats, or worked on a floor where lifting and constant movement were normal, call that out to show you’re comfortable staying active for the full shift.
Finally, lean into member service. Being friendly, listening to packing preferences, answering questions, and supporting promotions are part of day-to-day success. If you can show you stay calm under pressure while being helpful and respectful, that’s exactly what this role is built around.
