About the Role: Cashier Assistant

The Cashier Assistant plays a key role in ensuring Costco members enjoy a smooth checkout process. You’ll assist in packing orders, maintaining cleanliness, retrieving carts, and supporting cashiers with promotions. Responsibilities of a Cashier Assistant

• Greet members and assist with loading their orders onto the conveyor belt.
• Pack member orders into boxes and transfer items to separate carts or flatbeds.
• Ensure packaging integrity by checking for tampering and adhering to safety protocols.
• Retrieve merchandise, register supplies, and other items as needed to support cashiers and maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the register area, including cleaning spills and removing debris promptly.
• Retrieve carts and flatbeds from the parking area, ensuring safe and organized cart handling.
• Assist with setup and closing duties such as restocking, organizing registers, and cleaning.
• Operate mechanical trash compactors and cardboard bailers as required.
