Cashier Assistant – Costco – Montréal, QC

Costco Wholesale Canada is hiring a Cashier Assistant at its Montréal location (300 Rue Bridge). In this role, you’ll support cashiers by packing member orders, retrieving items, and ensuring fast and efficient checkout service. You’ll also provide friendly assistance to members, keep the front-end area clean and safe, and help maintain Costco’s excellent service standards.

About the Role

As a Cashier Assistant, you’ll be responsible for helping customers with their orders by packing merchandise, retrieving carts, and keeping the checkout area clean and organized. You’ll support cashiers during busy times, assist with promotions, and ensure members receive courteous, prompt service. This role also involves light physical work such as moving carts, loading boxes, and restocking supplies.

Your contribution will directly support customer satisfaction and smooth store operations, making Costco’s front-end experience efficient, safe, and welcoming for all members.

Requirements / Skills

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to communicate in French (oral and written)
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills
• Physically able to push carts, pack orders, and maintain a clean work area
• Willingness to assist in other warehouse departments as needed

Responsibilities

• Pack member orders into boxes and transfer them to carts
• Assist members with loading orders and answer customer questions
• Retrieve carts and flatbeds from the parking lot
• Maintain a clean and safe checkout area
• Support cashiers with supplies, restocking, and promotions
• Operate trash compactors and cardboard balers when required
