Canada Leader, Specialist Solution Architects – Amazon – Toronto, ON
Location: Toronto, ON | Company: Amazon
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a seasoned technical leader to take the helm as Canada Leader, Specialist Solution Architects, based in Toronto, Ontario. Reporting directly to the Solution Architect Country Leader, this is a pivotal national role responsible for guiding a high-calibre team of deep domain specialist solutions architects across the full breadth of AWS products and services.
This isn’t a standard management role — it sits at the intersection of technical strategy, executive engagement, and customer-driven innovation. You’ll lead domain specialists covering Generative AI, High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, Databases, Analytics, and more, while driving C-suite conversations around Application Modernisation and Business Transformation.
About the Role: Canada Leader, Specialist Solution Architects
As the national leader of this specialist team, you’ll develop and execute the strategy for prioritising specialist resource investments and customer adoption plans for current and emerging AWS services across Canada. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the local sales organisation to accelerate cloud adoption at scale, engaging with both large enterprise clients and high-growth organisations. The team you lead also serves as a critical feedback loop — channelling the voice of Canadian customers directly into AWS global product and service roadmaps.
Beyond team leadership, you’ll be a visible technical thought leader — representing AWS in public speaking engagements, contributing to whitepapers, and guiding the creation of high-value content. Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, and Training is central to how this team delivers results.
Benefits and Salary
This position offers a base salary range of $194,000 to $291,000 CAD annually for the Toronto location. As part of Amazon’s total compensation approach, the package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being.
