Responsibilities

This role covers the full cycle of bakery product finishing and floor management — from applying finishing touches to baked goods right through to restocking shelves and serving members. Staying organized and maintaining food safety standards throughout every step is a key part of the job.

  • Garnish and finish baked goods by drizzling icing or applying glazes according to Costco’s production procedures
  • Wrap and package baked goods by hand or using a wrapping machine, and assemble pre-cut cardboard boxes as needed
  • Weigh and label products accurately, culling any broken, underweight, heavy, or defective goods to maintain quality standards
  • Move product throughout the bakery using large wheeled metal racks
  • Monitor and restock the bakery sales area, rotating stock and checking pull dates to comply with health code requirements
  • Assist members promptly and courteously, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of bakery products and directing members as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of both the wrapping area and the sales floor, following all safety and security procedures
  • Support the team by assisting with other bakery or warehouse duties as required
