About the Role: Baker

Responsibilities
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where every shift involves working through a structured production schedule to keep the bakery running smoothly. The Baker at Costco is responsible for every step from ingredient prep to finished product, making accuracy and consistency essential to the job.
- Assemble and measure large quantities of ingredients according to Costco’s formulas, using a calculator to adjust yield as needed
- Operate power equipment including a power mixer, dough roller, muffin depositor, and crust machine to prepare batters, doughs, frostings, and fillings
- Roll, cut, and shape dough for breads and pastries, and transfer raw product to raising rooms
- Monitor and manage ovens, feeding dough into automated machines and removing baked product to cooling racks at the appropriate time
- Maintain food safety compliance by monitoring sanitation, temperatures, and pull dates in accordance with health codes
- Follow production procedures and uphold Costco’s standards for quality and consistency in all finished bakery products
- Provide courteous member service and assist with other bakery or warehouse duties as required
