Responsibilities
As Assistant Store Manager, your workday is dynamic and multi-faceted. You’ll shift between supporting your team on the floor, overseeing critical operational processes, and stepping into a leadership role whenever the Store Manager is away. These responsibilities are central to maintaining Dollarama’s high standards of store performance and customer satisfaction.
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing all daily retail store operations and act as Manager on Duty (MOD) in their absence
- Communicate and enforce company rules and regulations, ensuring all team members understand and comply with established policies
- Conduct inventory counts in a prompt and accurate manner to facilitate proper resupply of goods and minimize stock discrepancies
- Uphold merchandising standards by ensuring established display and product placement practices are consistently followed throughout the store
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding activities, helping to hire and train new employees to Dollarama’s standards
- Organize priorities efficiently and adapt to shifting operational needs within a fast-paced retail environment
- Travel within the assigned region as needed to support store operations or attend regional activities
Requirements / Skills
Dollarama is seeking a candidate who brings retail management experience and a natural ability to lead people in a high-energy environment. - Retail industry experience: minimum of two (2) years in a retail setting is preferred
