About the Role: Asset Protection Associate

As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart Saskatoon, your primary focus is creating and maintaining a secure and effective work environment for customers, associates, visitors, and vendors. You’ll be responsible for mitigating financial and physical shrink, conducting patrols, and taking action when store security is at risk — all while demonstrating a professional and positive demeanour.

This role requires someone who can communicate clearly across different teams, handle sensitive investigative matters with discretion, and collaborate with Store Leadership and the Market Loss Prevention Manager. You’ll also play a critical part in emergency preparedness, supporting store evacuation procedures when needed and participating in task team responsibilities as required.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.10 per hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities

The day-to-day work of an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart covers everything from routine facility patrols to complex internal investigations. Every responsibility in this role contributes to a safer, more secure shopping and working environment for everyone in the store.

• Conduct daily patrols of the facility to ensure store security, validating that doors and showcases are secure and functioning properly
• Make external arrests when necessary in accordance with company policy and applicable law
• Investigate instances of financial and physical shrink, communicating findings to Store Leadership and the Market Loss Prevention Manager for internal cases
• Support store evacuation procedures in the event of fire or other emergency situations
• Participate in task team responsibilities as required by store operations
• Conduct and support investigations including internal theft and dishonesty, external organized retail crime, and cases assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics — in a timely, thorough, and policy-compliant manner
• Communicate information from multiple sources clearly and effectively, clarifying issues and presenting different perspectives to the appropriate stakeholders
