About the Role: Asset Protection Associate

As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart Richmond, your primary mission is to create and maintain a secure work environment for customers, associates, visitors, and vendors. You’ll conduct daily patrols, validate that doors and showcases are secure, and take action when necessary — including making external arrests when required. You’ll also investigate instances of financial and physical shrink and report findings to the appropriate store or market leadership.

This role demands both independence and teamwork. You’ll support store evacuation procedures in emergencies, participate in task team responsibilities, and conduct or support investigations involving internal theft, dishonesty, and organized retail crime. Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $19.60 per hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. • Conduct daily patrols of the store facility, validating that doors and showcases are secure and functioning properly
• Make external arrests when necessary and in accordance with applicable laws and Walmart Canada policies
• Investigate instances of financial and physical shrink, communicating findings to Store Leadership or the Market Loss Prevention Manager as appropriate
• Support store evacuation procedures in the event of a fire or other emergency situation
• Participate in task team responsibilities as required by store operations
• Conduct and support investigations including internal theft, dishonesty, organized retail crime, and Global Ethics cases in a timely, thorough manner
• Communicate information from multiple sources, clarifying issues and presenting different perspectives to relevant stakeholders
