As an Area Manager II with Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, you will lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced operations environment. You’ll be responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and customer delivery performance during your shifts, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and to the right location.
Amazon’s operations span First Mile (inventory readiness), Middle Mile (transport), and Last Mile (delivery). While workflows vary by building, the commitment to customers is constant.
About the role: Area Manager II
In this role, you’ll support, mentor, and motivate your team while collaborating with partners across Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to meet business objectives. The position is hands-on and physical, requiring extended standing/walking, frequent movement, and work in environments with variable temperatures and noise levels.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers total compensation, which may include equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the role.

Requirements / Skills
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends, nights, holidays)
- Comfort with physical demands: lifting up to 49 lbs, standing/walking up to 12 hours, bending, reaching, and stair use (site dependent)
- Ability to work in loud and variable-temperature environments
- Preferred: 1+ year experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
