As a Vendor Manager, you will work directly with vendors to drive value, selection, and convenience across their business. This role is critical in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and top-line performance for their category.

Role of the Vendor Manager

As a Vendor Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Category P&L Management: Manage the profit and loss for your category, ensuring profitability and growth.
  • Vendor Negotiations: Negotiate with vendors to drive favorable terms and secure the best deals for Amazon customers.
  • New Product Launches: Oversee the introduction of new products to the Amazon.ca platform, ensuring successful launches.
  • Team-Level Business Functions: Own key business functions such as pricing, selection, and profitability.
  • Growth Strategy: Define and execute vendor and category-level growth strategies to drive performance.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Excel.
  • 3+ years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results.
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements.
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development.
