Position Overview: Asset Protection Associate – Walmart Canada

As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart Canada, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all customers, associates, and visitors. You will actively monitor the store, prevent theft, and ensure compliance with Walmart’s safety procedures.

This role requires vigilance, integrity, and excellent communication skills, as you’ll be expected to collaborate with store leadership and loss prevention teams to investigate incidents and implement effective solutions.

Your primary focus will be on identifying and mitigating risks related to financial and physical shrink, ensuring that the store operates smoothly and profitably. You will conduct regular patrols of the store, ensuring that all entrances, exits, and showcases are secure.

In cases of internal theft or dishonesty, you will support investigations and work closely with Walmart Canada’s Loss Prevention team to resolve cases in a timely and thorough manner.

Key Responsibilities

As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart Canada, your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure store security by conducting daily patrols, verifying that doors and showcases are properly secured and functioning as expected.
• Make external arrests when necessary to prevent theft or security breaches.
• Investigate financial and physical shrink and communicate findings to store leadership, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Support store evacuation procedures during emergencies, such as fires, to ensure the safety of all associates and customers.
• Conduct thorough investigations related to internal and external theft, organized retail crime, and other security-related incidents as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, providing clear and accurate information to help resolve security concerns.
• Adhere to Walmart Canada’s policies and procedures, ensuring all investigations are handled in accordance with company standards.
